Eco Schools is an international reward programme run in the UK by Keep Britain tidy to promote education about our environment and how to protect it in early years settings, schools and secondary schools. At Kb's we beleve that we are already doing so much towards sustainability such as composting, emailing newsletters, recycling, collecting rain water, feeding birds and providing homes for bats, birds, bees and hedgehogs. We have joined the Eco Schools reward programme to help us go the extra mile. We currently have our Silver Eco Award and are working towards our GREEN FLAG STATUS!!!
Please check out our Eco Board in the downstairs children's toilets where you will find our Eco Code, Eco plan and awards. Eco Committee meetings are open to everyone the more the merrier!! Please also remember to become an Eco Warrior at home with your children as this is an important part of our future.

We have joined up to the Royal Horticultural Society's Campaign for school gardening as we are extremely proud of our garden and the children are very keen to grow plants, herbs, vegetables and flowers.

This is a benchmarking and reward programme for schools to monitor their progress, create aims and goals as well as show off all of their hard work! We have achieved Level One, Two and Three and are going to continue through the 5 benchmarking awards.

The children are very interested in the gardening process and will be active in the potting of seeds, planting out, watering, caring and garden maintaince. Keep an eye on our allotments for progress soon.
