Vacancies at Kbs
We are always looking to meet people to join our welcoming team.
Someone with a lot of energy, sence of fun and big imagination would turn our heads...more
We consider eating together a very important social event. All aspects of this gathering are to encourage socialising, consideration, decision making, choice with in reason and eating with hearty appetites. Each child can decide where they sit and with whom, be involved with setting the table and spoon the meal onto their plate. Meal times are a good time to sit with the children and chat about one thing and another.
I walked through the dining room and said ‘yummy you're having crumble’ to which one child laughed and said ‘no Suzanne its pudding’

Picnic Lunch
Whenever we go for a picnic - which is quite often! - a selection of food is put out on the dining room table and the children are invited to put together their own picnic.
We feel it is good to give the children choices, including brown or white bread, soft rolls or raisin bread. You can imagine some of the combinations!
Of course there is always an adult overseeing these culinary masterpieces, encouraging a variety of tastes and helping each child with wrapping their own sandwich, ready for our alfresco fun.
